INDUSTRIAL PAINTER

ABOUT THE JOB

At Van Tunen, we are looking for an experienced and driven Mechanic who has a passion for technology and likes to roll up their sleeves. We specialise in maintaining, repairing and modifying a wide range of earth-moving machines, such as excavators, bulldozers and wheel loaders. We do this in our workshop in Beverwijk, but also on our projects at home and abroad. With a modern equipped workshop and a team of skilled colleagues, we ensure that our machines remain in top condition.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As a Painter, you will be responsible for carrying out painting and spraying work. Your tasks include:

• Preparing objects by cleaning, sanding, degreasing and filling;

• Applying paint and lacquer layers with brush, roller or spraying equipment;

• Performing (partial) repairs to existing paint layers;

• Checking paintwork for quality and carrying out repair work;

• Identifying and reporting damage or corrosion;

• Maintaining and cleaning painting and spraying equipment;

• Ensuring a neat, safe and tidy workplace;

• Supporting other maintenance work in the workshop.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Painter with technical understanding and an eye for detail, in addition you have/are:

• Completed relevant training (e.g. industrial painter/sprayer) or you have similar experience;

• At least 2 years' experience in a similar position within engineering or earthmoving;

• Has a VCA basic certificate or is willing to obtain one;

• Accurate, independent and solution-oriented;

• Reliable, quality-conscious and have an active working attitude;

• Have good communication and teamwork skills.
